Transjakarta Adjusts Services to Support LRT Jakarta Construction
Transjakarta has adjusted a number of routes crossing the Manggarai area to support the construction of the LRT Jakarta Phase 1B project.
TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Transportasi Jakarta () has adjusted a number of routes crossing the Manggarai area to support the construction of the LRT Jakarta Phase 1B project for the Velodrome-Manggarai route. This adjustment takes effect from January 27, 2025, to August 31, 2026.
Transjakarta’s head of public relations and CSR, Ayu Wardhani, detailed that four routes will be affected by the route adjustments, which include the Pulogadung-Galunggung route (Corridor 4), the Pulogadung-Kuningan route (4D), the Manggarai Station-Blok M route (6M), and the Manggarai Station-University of Indonesia route (4B).
“We fully support the construction of LRT Jakarta as part of the effort to improve the public transportation system in the region. Albeit some adjustments are made, all services will continue to operate as normal,” said Ayu in an official statement on Tuesday, January 28, 2025.
The adjusted routes for Transjakarta are as follows:
1. Pulogadung - Galunggung (Corridor 4)
While services originally forged a straight path to Galunggung, Transjakarta will now make a U-turn at the Manggarai Terminal Bus Stop towards Jl. Dr. Saharjo, and another U-turn at Toba Dream towards Jl. Minangkabau Barat towards Jalan Sultan Agung before advancing to Galunggung.
2. Pulogadung - Kuningan (4D)
Transjakarta will make a U-turn in front of Toba Dream towards Jl. Minangkabau Barat, heading to the Jl. Sultan Agung, and so on.
3. Manggarai Station - Blok M (6M)
After the Manggarai Bus Stop on the Galunggung route, Transjakarta will also make a U-turn in front of Toba Dream towards Jl. Minangkabau Barat, heading towards Jl. Sultan Agung, and so on.
4. Manggarai Station - Universitas Indonesia (4B)
Transjakarta will turn left from Jl. Sultan Agung, heading towards the Pasar Rumput bus stop, before making a U-turn towards Manggarai Station.
Transjakarta also made adjustments to the dock door at the Manggarai bus stop on the Galunggung route, but customers need not worry as all routes will proceed as normal.
Transjakarta hopes to contribute to the acceleration of the LRT Jakarta development. "We prioritize customer comfort during this adjustment period. Transjakarta continues to coordinate with related parties to minimize impact over the [ Jakarta project] and to ensure a smooth trip,” said Ayu.
