SEVENTEEN Concert in Jakarta, 11 Members Perform Energetically in Hot and Humid Weather

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The second day of the [RIGHT HERE] World Tour concert at the Jakarta International Stadium, Sunday, February 9, 2024, was lively. The eleven members of the K-pop Idol group performed energetically. Although the weather in Jakarta was different from their home country, S.Coups, Joshua, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, The8, Mingyu, Seungkwan, Vernon and Dino remained enthusiastic in giving their best performance for their fans.

The concert started at around 18:40 WIB (Western Indonesian Time), opened with the song "Fear" from the album An Ode in 2029, continued with "Fearless" from the album Heng:garæ in 2020, and "Maestro" from the album 17 is Right Here. The extraordinary welcome from Carat, SEVENTEEN's fans, at the beginning of the concert made the members even more excited.

They also invited Carat to have fun and make memories together at the last day of the concert. "Jakarta, Maung-hae. Let's have fun together," said Hoshi who used Indonesian during the introduction.

Seeing Carat's enthusiasm before the concert started, S.Coups as SEVENTEEN's leader reminded his fans to prioritize safety, so that the concert would run smoothly. Not only that, because of the hot weather, another member, Wonwoo, also reminded Carat to drink enough during the concert.

For approximately three hours, SEVENTEEN performed their hits. Some of them were "Super", "God of Music", "Cheers of Youth", "Snap Shoot", and "Very Nice". In addition to performing songs on the concert setlist, they also sang short snippets of songs that were not performed as requested by Carat such as "Clap", "F*ck My Life", "Left & Right". At the end of the concert, they also challenged several Carats who were previously caught on camera during a noraebang or short karaoke session, to show their dances to their songs.

One fan, Orin, said that the eleven members of SEVENTEEN remained enthusiastic even though they performed in a country with very different weather from South Korea. According to the Carat from Jakarta, the weather factor slightly affected their performance, plus their world tour schedule was quite a lot and in a row. "But it didn't reduce the overall performance, they remained enthusiastic for Carat," he told Tempo.

Nadia, a fan from Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, said the same thing. She praised the performance of the eleven men who remained energetic despite the hot weather in Jakarta. "None of their stamina is lacking, especially Hoshi, he's really cool," she said.

Their energetic performance is undeniably thanks to Carat who kept shouting encouragement from the beginning to the end of the concert. This was acknowledged by Wonwoo. He said that even though the weather was a bit hot and humid, thanks to the support from Carat, this concert was extraordinary. "Thank you very much, always be healthy and stay happy," he said.

Meanwhile, S.Coups hopes that this concert can make Carat happy. He said that he will prepare many things for his fans after returning to South Korea. Seungkwan also promised to hold another concert in Jakarta, with Jeonghan and Jun. "Later when we come here again, you will watch us again, okay?" asked Seungkwan, which was greeted by loud screams from fans.

SEVENTEEN [RIGHT HERE] World Tour in Jakarta will last for two days, February 8-9, 2025. This is their concert in Jakarta, after the "SEVENTEEN [BE THE SUN] World Tour and Be THE SUN additional show in 2022. However, unlike the previous concert which was attended by 13 full members, this time without Jeonghan who is serving in the military, and Jun who debuted as an actor in China.

From Jakarta, will continue the next concert in Bangkok, Thailand on February 18, 2025. SEVENTEEN [RIGHT HERE] World Tour will take place from October 12, 2024, starting from South Korea, the United States, Japan, the Philippines to Singapore.
