DPR Evaluates Prabowo Administration Ahead of 100-Day Milestone

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) Cucun Ahmad Syamsurijal has shared the parliament's assessment of President Prabowo Subianto's administration as it approaches its 100-day milestone on January 28, 2025. Cucun praised the President for prioritizing key programs and ensuring budget efficiency.

Cucun highlighted the implementation of flagship initiatives such as the Free Nutritious Meals (Makan Bergizi Gratis or MBG) program, which has been clearly evident to the DPR. He also noted efforts to reduce inefficiencies in the state budget (APBN).
“President Prabowo is determined to eliminate inefficiencies and make sure everything is truly efficient,” Cucun told reporters at the parliament building in Central Jakarta on Friday, January 17, 2025.

He cited examples of Prabowo’s directives, including cutting down on official travel expenses and instructing ministers to avoid initiating vanity projects.
“In these first 100 days, several programs have already been implemented, particularly efforts to ensure the budget is effective, efficient, and aligned with targets,” Cucun stated.

Another Deputy Speaker, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, urged the government to maintain its momentum beyond the 100-day benchmark. Dasco acknowledged the administration’s efforts to stay on track in achieving its campaign promises.

“We observe that the government is working hard to stay on track and fulfill the promises made during the presidential election,” Dasco said during a media briefing at the parliament building.

Dasco emphasized the importance of consistency in governance after the first 100 days.
“We must continue to encourage the administration to remain consistent and maintain its current performance even after passing this milestone,” he remarked.

However, Dasco noted it was still too early to measure the administration’s achievements comprehensively, with the 100-day period yet to conclude.

Praise from Former President Jokowi

Former President Joko Widodo, commonly known as Jokowi, offered his praise for the Prabowo administration’s performance, particularly its reception at the grassroots level. Jokowi, who is also the father of Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, shared his observations ahead of the 100-day milestone.
“Based on what I’ve seen at the grassroots level, the response has been very positive. This will likely be reflected in performance surveys,” Jokowi said during a media interview at his residence in Solo, Central Java, on Thursday, January 16, 2025.

As the 100-day mark approaches, the administration’s focus on efficiency and tangible results remains a focal point for both praise and constructive evaluation from various stakeholders.
