TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The number of users continues to climb as service integration expands to the commuter line and the Whoosh high-speed rail. “Not only does LRT Jabodebek prove a solution for the city residents, it also contributes to people’s economic growth,” said the Executive VP of LRT Jabodebek, Mochamad Purnomosidi, in his official statement on Wednesday, February 12, 2025.
Currently, several LRT Jabodebek stations have been connected to other transportation services such as the commuter line and Whoosh. For example, Dukuh Atas BNI station serves as the main access to Soekarno-Hatta Airport via the Basoetta Commuterline.
Data shows that the LRT station served over 6.5 million users in 2024, while in the first two months of 2025, the number of users reached 856 thousand people—up 53 percent compared to the same period last year.
Meanwhile, Cikoko Station, connected to the Cawang commuter line station, also recorded a 64 percent increase in users. This station serves as a transit point for people traveling to Bogor, Jakarta Kota, and Soekarno-Hatta Airport.
The LRT Halim station, another example, strategically connects with , the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed train. From January to earlier this month, the station has logged over 103,000 passengers, a 16 percent increase compared to the same period the previous year.
According to Purnomosidi, this improved integration not only makes daily mobility easier but also supports economic growth. "Smoother mobility allows for rapidly growing business and economic activities, which create new opportunities for various business sectors," he said.
