MUI Chairman Appreciates the Birth of the Association of Indonesian Mualaf Institutions

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, Jakarta--The birth of the Association of Indonesian Institutions (Alami) received the appreciation and support of the Chairman of the Indonesian Ulama Assembly (MUI) for the Study, Research and Development, Prof. Utang Ranuwijaya. “MUI supports the formation of the Association of Indonesian Mualaf Institutions,” Prof. Utang told the media.

Because of the importance of the association's presence, Prof. Utang took the time to come to the Mualaf Institution Jamboree as well as the Natural Declaration held at Nuu Waar Al Fatih Kaaffah Nusantara (AFKN) Setu Pesantren, Bekasi Regency, West Java, Saturday — Sunday, November 2-3, 2024.

According to Prof. Utang, Alami has a strategic function in intensive coaching of converts.

“Natural according to its role and function to maintain the faith of the people, especially the converts,” said Prof. Utang.

Natural formation, Prof. Utang continued, can strengthen synergies between conversion institutions. “The Association of Indonesian Mualaf Institutions is a synergistic effort to unite strengths, attitudes, views and measures in carrying out its duties as a conversion institution,” said Prof. Utang.

To the elected administrator, Prof. Utang hopes that the conversion of data banks or data banks will be a priority program. Because during this time, many cases of people claimed to be converts in search of material gain.

“Yes, there needs to be a division or a department or whatever it is called, that works for this matter,” emphasizes Prof. Utang.

To be known, the Special Dakwah Institution of the Indonesian Ulama Assembly (LDK MUI) and a number of conversion institutions initiated the formation of the Association of Indonesian Mualaf Institutions (Alami).

The launch of Alami was in conjunction with the Mualaf Institution Jamboree held last week in Bekasi Regency. Participants agreed on Ustaz Abu Deedat Syihab as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Alami and Ustaz Fadzlan Gharamatan as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Alami.
