Long Holiday, Bogor to Impose Odd-Even Policy, One-Way Traffic in Puncak Route

TEMPO.CO, Bogor - The Bogor Police Traffic Unit has implemented traffic management measures on the route in Bogor Regency to minimize congestion during the long holiday. These measures will be in effect from Friday, January 24, 2025, until the holiday of Isra Miraj and 2025.

According to Chief of the Bogor Police Traffic Unit Adj. Comr. Rizky Guntama, the traffic management plan includes the implementation of both the Odd-Even System and the One-Way System, depending on the traffic flow. These measures will be imposed from Friday to Wednesday next week.

“The one-way system will be implemented based on the situation. If we observe heavy traffic from Jakarta to Puncak, we will implement a one-way system upwards. Typically, those who travel up in the morning will return home in the afternoon,” explained Rizky in Cibinong on Thursday, January 23, 2025, as reported by Antara.

The Bogor Police anticipate peak traffic on the Puncak Route this weekend and on Wednesday, January 29, 2025. “The peak of traffic going downhill is expected on Wednesday. We anticipate an influx of vehicles going uphill on Saturday and Sunday,” he said.

To ensure smooth traffic flow, the Bogor Police Traffic Unit has deployed 350 joint officers to the tourist route.

The Chief of Traffic Police urged tourists planning to visit the Puncak Bogor area during the long Isra Miraj and Chinese New Year holidays to ensure their vehicles are in good condition and that they maintain their health.

“During this long holiday, the Bogor Police, particularly the Traffic Police, have established aid posts at various locations. Please visit these posts if you require assistance from our officers. We are ready to fulfill our duties and assist the public,” concluded the Head of Traffic Police of Bogor Police.
