Commission X deputy chair, Lalu Hadrian Irfani, stated that the DPR aims to investigate the issues affecting the ministry. "This has become a matter of public concern. Members will inquire about the cause of this turmoil and what exactly transpired," Lalu said during a press conference at the Parliament building in Central Jakarta.

Black Monday Protest
On January 20, employees of the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology staged a "Black Monday" protest, alleging unfair treatment by Satryo. The protesters accused him of unjustly dismissing Neni Herlina, a civil servant, and claimed he had physically assaulted another staff member.
Satryo Brodjonegoro denied the allegations, clarifying that no employee had been fired and that the purported dismissal was a routine staff rotation and transfer. "The ministry has never dismissed anyone. Transfers and rotations are common practices in any institution, whether government or private," he said in a statement to Antara on January 21.
He also refuted accusations of physical assault, claiming the video circulating on social media was fabricated. "That is not my voice," he asserted.
DPR to Examine Allegations
Commission X plans to address these allegations during their meeting with Satryo. Lalu emphasized that staff rotations are permissible when conducted in accordance with established procedures. "We will ask whether these actions followed proper protocols or if there is merit to the concerns raised," he said.
The internal conflict at the ministry has sparked widespread public interest, placing additional scrutiny on the leadership and operations of the agency.
