TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) searched the house of United Development Party (PPP) politician on Jalan Borobudur Number 26, Menteng, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday night, January 22, 2025. The search was related to a corruption case involving fugitive .
KPK Spokesperson Tessa Mahardhika confirmed that the searched house belonged to Djan Faridz. "That's right (Djan Faridz's house)," said Tessa via text message.
Basti, a local resident, also confirmed that the house was owned by Djan Faridz. "As far as I know (Djan Faridz's house)," he told reporters. According to Basti, Djan Faridz owns three houses in the area. He himself did not know whether Djan was in the house when the KPK searched it.
Djan Faridz was once a member of the Presidential Advisory Council during the Joko Widodo administration in 2023. He also served as Minister of Housing during the era of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.
Tempo's monitoring at the location at 22.11, the search was still ongoing. In front of the house were lined up about five cars belonging to KPK investigators. However, no police were seen guarding in front of the house.
Harun's case had stalled after the person concerned went into hiding after escaping a sting operation (OTT) by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on January 8, 2020. In January 2025, the PDIP politician had been a fugitive for five years.
Harun became the target of the KPK's OTT because he was suspected of bribing Wahyu Setiawan so that he could pass to become a member of the People's Representative Council (DPR). Since disappearing after escaping the OTT, he has been in hiding. He was reported to be hiding in Cambodia and some said he was in Indonesia.

The first Sprindik, numbered Sprin.Dik/153/DIK.00/01/12/2024, mentioned Hasto's involvement in a criminal act of corruption by giving gifts or promises to the Commissioner of the General Election Commission (KPU) of the Republic of Indonesia, Wahyu Setiawan, to smooth Harun Masiku's path to becoming a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives from Electoral District I of South Sumatra.
Meanwhile, the second investigation letter numbered Sprin.Dik/152/DIK.00/01/12/2024 stated that Hasto was also a suspect in obstructing the investigation of the case.
